Kohler has create a new collection of tap-ware, Components, allowing homeowners to mix and match components to design their own individual look.
Taking its cue from the simple, minimalist lines of the Bauhaus movement, Kohler offers a choice of distinctly different spouts and handles that can be interchanged.
Components offers a selection of spouts and handles.
Users have a choice of three spouts and four handles with all basin mixers and spouts are aerated and have a WELS rating of five stars.
Spout designs for bath and basin range include: Row, a modern, statuesque angular design; Ribbon, a thin, flat, sinuous design much like its namesake; and Tube, a timeless, classic cylindrical form.
Handles have four options.
The Rocker is a sleek, single-control (inspired by smart device scrolling) with a graceful, magnetic motion. It can be placed anywhere on the deck within range.
The Oyl is inspired by precision-tooled gauges and dials and is designed for widespread basin configurations.
The Industrial is influenced by machine valves and factory pipes while Lever is a slender, elegant take on classic design. Bath applications can choose from the Oyl, Industrial and Lever.
Components allows users to design their own tap.
All components are in polished chrome with further finishes tipped to be added in the future.
Kohler Kitchen & Bath EMEA design studio director Bruno Chenesseau says: “With Components, the client is the designer. They are part of the design process.”
