<p>Hi Matt,</p><p>I would not span the wire without an intermediate support post more than 1800mm. The space in between the the wire spacings is maximum of 100mm. I think they have made it illegal to use horizontal wire balustrading because kids were climbing on them and falling over the rail. </p>
<p>Can't say about Qld but In Perth horizontal wire balustrading is not allowed. I think it's not allowed for any <a href="http://www.allfencingperth.com.au/">fencing</a>.</p><p>Thanks,</p>
