Those are some interesting and albeit exciting and fun ideas for kids bedrooms. However, aren't they just a little..impractical? I'm just saying that, as fun as they look, only a few can afford those.

(Though I wish I can steal a few or more ideas for my kids in the future.) :)

Wow how did I miss this post...

Amazing ideas, thanks Darcy. The chalkboard paint's a winner. My sister did this in her kitchen, the kids love it. Definitely helps if you've got a bit of ceiling space to spare (which we don't).

Still thinking of doing a treehouse for our kids over summer. Anyone know what the building regs say about that?

Wow all these ideas are really outstanding and will definitely amaze the kids! I personally have not witnessed or seen any friends or family members having such unique storage ideas for their kids' bedrooms before. I think they are still within reach but would definitely involve a lot of costs to build them or a lot of effort if they wish to DIY on their own. Nevertheless, I think they would make the children really happy and would not want to leave their rooms!

I have two boys and I want them to stay in the same room until they decide to move out. I believe that doing so will create a stronger bond between my boys. They would end up having to fix their problems before getting into bed because they stay close together. I'll definitely get great ideas from your designs for my boys room. I'll still leave some privacy for each of them even if they share a room though.

Personally I would use intriguing furniture to decorate kids' bedroom. And upholster it with colorful wall papers. Inspiration can be found on: http://www.crazysales.com.au/kids-furniture/
