Window Film Association of Australia and New Zealand

Quality assurance and confidence is what the Window Film Association of Australia and New Zealand (WFAANZ) stands for.

The non-profit association sets out to improve the standard of window film product and installation; promote the performance values and cost effectiveness of film; and be a voice for the window film industry at all regulatory levels.

WFAANZ members adhere to a strict code of practice that dictates parameters for conducting business in a fair and ethical way. This sets WFAANZ members apart. Guidelines include installing film within regulated limits and never making unsubstantiated performance claims. Members are required to stay well informed regarding the laws applicable to their business and must comply with all such requirements.

There are two window film categories flat glass film is applied to windows in residential and commercial buildings, and automotive window film is applied to car windows.

Benefits of each include heat control, lower energy costs, improved comfort, fade protection, glare reduction, increased privacy, safety and security.

New technologies mean window films offer a wide variety of shades, colours and performance levels. They are designed to survive the harsh Australian climate with scratch resistant coatings for protection and metallic layers for colour stability. WFAANZ film manufactures provide a minimum 10 year warranty on their products and many products come with a lifetime warranty on residential applications.

As of 2003 all new Australian homes must comply with the energy efficiency requirements set in the Building Code of Australia. With its ability to reduce the amount of solar energy that passes through glass, window film is a clever, convenient and cost effective option that helps you meet or exceed these requirements.

Windows with film provide a constant source of light not available if curtains are drawn or blinds are down. This equals more reductions on the energy bill, as lights are not used as often.
